Followed by his magickal haunt at Loch Ness and initiation into The Order Of The Golden Dawn. Some years pass with Aleister's marriage and 'honeymoon' in Cairo. It is here that he communicates with a praeter-human, discarnate intelligence, named Aiwaz. From this revelation came The Book Of The Law, which was to be the cornerstone for his future magickal workings and philosophy. Labeled 'the wickedest man in the world', and self-proclaimed The Great Beast, he establishes an Abbey in Sicily where his magickal shenanigans continue until his expulsion by Mussolini. The underlying story in the script is the last few weeks of his life. It is here that his completed autobiography (autohagiography) is revealed ...And the story told from this angle. The visuals in the movie, such as the settings/locations and rituals, make for a very atmospheric and ethereal feeling throughout. The story is as captivating as Crowley's personality.
