But the pattern is there as sure as a mathematical formula relects the motion of he planets through space. That human history too is weaving just such a pattern is a fact that the human mind is incapable of denying. For even to posit a univers ruled by chance is to recognize the existence of at least one rule which renders the meaningless meaningful. Vigintitresology — or, perhaps, in the words of Dali: Paranoid-Critical-Activity — turns on the structuring devise which weaves the web of illusion. It may be that there is a state of being even more artificial than a work of art. Such is the 23rd Path whcih can be as fruitful as any, if one treds it softly and maintains a sense of humor. Aftermath A slight diversion into the mythology of numbers: Numbers are personalities and they behave towards one another just as people do. This can be realized when one turns on his/her bio-analog computer which turns quantities into qualities, as opposed to the bio-digital computer which turns qualities into quantities. Then multiplication can be considered a form of copulation between numbers. Thus, multiplication is something male and female numbers would do. (Males are Even numbers, Females Odd numbers.) A sexology of numbers would go something like this: 1 x 1 = 1; a form of mastubation 1 x 2 =2; homosexulaity Both of these actions are, in a sense, "fruitless". If this was as far as multiplication went, if one had only the numbers 1 and 2, both the number system and the human race would not have survived. But: 2 x 3 = 6 ! Something new, something unique and different is created. As Newton's law of Gravity pertains to Physics, so does what may be called the Law of Levity pertain to Vigintitresology. But there need be one word of caution while traveling this Path: It is a proven fact that anything moving upward with an initial velocity of less than 11.23 kilometers per second will return to Earth! From an astrological point-of-view: at the age of 23 a person's Saturn is in or leaving the square to his/her native Sun, and marking a dynamic force-pattern that can be initiatory. The return of Saturn (Saturn opposition Sun) at age 29 (also a prime number year) would mark the consolidation of the Initiation's 'realization phase' and the beginning of the genuine 'manifestation phase'. The fact that a formal fraternal / magickal Order played an Initiatory role at the age of 23 for Crowley and others (McGregor Mathers, C.S. Jones, and A. O. Spare for example) need not be taken as a pre-requisite. But the significance, of the membership, as an "indicator" of annus mirabilis must be noted. — Initiation can take many forms and guises. The next time in history in the sequence established which will equal 23, is 2003; perhaps that year will mark the next major manifestation of extra-terrestrial intervention.
